The RI Guarantee
The RI Guarantee is a transfer partnership between the Community College of Rhode Island and participating four-year colleges and universities. Eligible community college graduates are able to transfer seamlessly - admission guaranteed!

Requirements for General University Admission
- Complete an associate's degree program at a Rhode Island community college and to a related course of study at Â鶹ɫÇéƬ.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.4.

General Education Foundation
The Rhode Island Guarantee mitigates credit loss and increases student success by ensuring admission into participating independent colleges for associate degree holding students. The Agreement ensures acceptance at a participating Guarantee institution for associate degree holding students who have met a minimum GPA requirement (of a 2.0, 2.4 or 3.0).
Credit Transfer
Students will also have credits from their associate's degree transferred in as bulk credits. In total, students who enter under this agreement can transfer up to 75 credits, starting them in their junior year. Additional credits may be reviewed on an individual basis.
Costs and Financial Aid
Â鶹ɫÇéƬ offers two options for students to transfer into:
- Students seeking to become a full-time student in our undergraduate programs on our Bristol campus would pay the traditional tuition and fees. They may also qualify for merit scholarships. Associates degree holders coming to the Bristol campus are guaranteed at least $20,000 per year in merit award.
- A University College (Providence campus) student taking a day program class is $1,581 per credit.
All students may apply for need-based financial aid using the . Roger William University’s FAFSA school code is 003410.
Specific Program Information
The Rhode Island Guarantee does not apply for accelerated programs for Pharmacy and 3+3 law programs.
