The Southern New England Educational and Charitable (SNEC) Foundation has awarded the Cummings School of Architecture a grant for Spring, Summer and Fall 2024 to support Preservation and Architecture team teaching, consultants, student field experiences and internships, as well as a summer convening.
The Interdisciplinary Minor in Real Estate curriculum has been approved for undergraduate students. The program is designed to help students obtain the essential knowledge and skills in the real estate industry or pursue advanced studies in real estate.

The Cummings School鈥檚 first Spring 2024 exhibition, 鈥淐onfronting Carbon Form鈥 hosted January 29-March 8 in the CSA Gallery, features collaboration by Assistant Professor Ryan Ludwig along with an extensive list of collaborators including curators Stanley Cho, Elisa Iturbe, and Alican Taylan.
Aaron Marcavitch 鈥99, Executive Director of the Connecticut Landmarks Foundation, is teaching PRES 532L Building Materials and Technology Workshop in Spring 2024. The graduate course features extensive field experience at numerous significant historic buildings, including consultations with practitioners with expertise with historic materials and construction processes.
An exciting experiment was launched in Fall 2023 that continues through Spring 2024, in the interest of gathering the best talent to teach the graduate level Arch 586 Computer Applications for Professional Practice with focuses on both emerging digital media applications as well as evolving practice models.
